ANA is an organization of the people of Nepal in the Americas and international friends of Nepal. ANA was founded in July, 1983 in New York and incorporated in Washington DC in 1983 as a non-profit tax exempt organization. Since its inception, ANA has grown steadily and exponentially as an international organization attracting a diverse and wide range of membership, consisting of community leaders in academia, the arts, business, law, and policy, and providing strategic oversight of financial and programmatic decisions for all the projects and conventions.

In the past, ANA has already hosted 24 successful annual conventions on July 4th weekends in different cities of the United States. This tradition was started back in 1983 and these conferences have been attracting thousands of guests and participants from around the U.S. and the world. Attendees gather to enjoy many features of this important Convention such as informative seminars & forums, booths, professional entertainment, and various social activities. This annual convention has traditionally been an excellent opportunity for businesses and sponsors to introduce and promote their products and ideas to a large number of audience and prospective clients in a single effective setting.
